Of course, we all know that diversity and inclusion are more than buzz words constantly trending in recent years. No longer are they just aspirational. They are a mandate. The success of our organizations is dependent on the degree to which we achieve a diverse and inclusive workforce.
As a staffing company we take four steps to ensure that we are providing our clients with a diverse and inclusive candidate base.
1. We are vigilant about adhering to actions and habits that do not hinder applications, hires or promotions of women and/or people of color. We constantly review our ads, job descriptions, applications and resume screening methods, and interview processes to make sure they are free of all unconscious bias. We recommend that you consider providing unconscious bias training for your team.
2. We have SMART goals that we use to track our progress. Example: practice 50/50 gender parity when hiring executives.
3. We are careful with our words.
4. We use photos on our website that are authentic and show our real team members. We recommend that you represent all races, age groups, sexual orientations, and abilities in your social media content.
